Tyson Ground Beef

On September 28, Tyson Fresh Meats issued a recall of its ground beef products. The Great Atlantic & Pacific Tea Company’s stores do not carry Tyson ground beef, so this recall does not affect any of our products.

Jensen Farms Cantaloupe

On September 16, Jensen Farms voluntarily issued a recall of its Rocky Mountain cantaloupes, which are grown in Colorado. This recall does not affect any products in The Great Atlantic & Pacific Tea Company’s stores. Our wholesale provider C&S procures all fruit from facilities in California and are not subject to the recall.

Cargill Turkey

On September 11, Cargill announced the voluntary recall of its ground turkey products produced at its plant in Springdale, Arkansas. Cargill products supplied to A&P, Food Basics, Pathmark, Waldbaum’s, Superfresh and The Food Emporium stores are processed at a different facility, and are not subject to the recall.  All A&P customers can continue to purchase our complete range of fresh turkey products with the confidence that we maintain the highest standards of safety in the production and delivery of meat products sold in our stores.
